Final Projects Due: December 10th*
Students in English 3-4 classes are being asked to research, propose, develop, and present final projects related to The Things They Carried (3TC). Final projects should focus on the theme of ‘Identity’ discussed throughout the book, and relate directly to the text, its characters, the plot line, etc. Final projects should represent the amount of time and effort equivalent to taking a major final exam or writing a 5-6 page term paper on the themes of the text.
Research – Search the web for examples of final projects that might inspire your own creative project.
Propose – Draft a brief proposal of you project to be presented to your classmates for approval.
Develop – Develop your own project idea that demonstrates your ability to draw connections between the text and its themes.
Present – Your final creative project must be presented to the class to receive credit.
*You will be provided three days to work on your projects in class prior to the due date, so make sure you are in class every day. You will need to put in significant time outside of class!
